For customers not looking to purchase PEA, NDE, and Acoustic Emission equipment, BEI offers testing services for each of these methods. Material specimens are to be provided by the customer with instructions on the testing they desire to have performed. This work is initiated by contacting us to discuss details.
Pulsed Electroacoustic Testing
Measure space charge distributions in thin dielectric films and electrical power cables
- Ambient temperature or elevated temperatures
- External electric fields
Ultrasonic Testing
For metals, ceramics, composites and plastics
- Locate impact damage, cracks, porosity, delaminations, debonds
- Measure mechanical properties
Eddy Current Testing
For carbon fiber composites and metals
- Locate fiber damage, cracks and voids, variations in electrical conductivity
Acoustic Emission Testing
Pressure Vessel Structural Integrity
- Verify integrity of pressurized vessels
- Verify integrity of load bearing structures
